The times they are a changing!
Glenn and I have been busy this spring getting the property ready for visitors to the Bunkie as well as the stargazing hill. Soon to have platform for viewing or tenting . With the Covid 19 virus gripping the world people quarantined, people are becoming more home bound, more grounded, social distancing is the new norm.
Stargazing is best done at a social distance.
The RV camping at the platform is something we have been working on being able to offer the 35ft Winnebago to people who would like to just be a place quiet and dark . The RV is set up with everything you need to enjoy camping, dark sky provided by Mother Nature. Guided stargazing is an option for guest as well.
For Perseid meteor shower check out the webpage https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/meteor-shower/perseid.html . The Perseids were always a family favourite for star gazing. Kids awoken to lay on sleeping bags in the back yard.
Our location, we are on the western edge of the UNESCO Southwest Nova Biosphere http://swnovabiosphere.ca in the Carleton River Wilderness Area https://novascotia.ca/nse/protectedareas/wa_carletonriver.asp Forest Glen ,Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
The Meadowbrook camp aka the Bunkie had its first guest of the season. Totally off grid , solar / candle light . She absolutely loved it, and wrote an awesome review. I am sure they will be back. They saw a beaver and a deer very near the Bunkie.

We have started the fix up of the Hunting Camp. The driveway into the camp has been finished as well as the fire pit area. Over the next few months some things need leveling, some windows need replacing the new chimney for the wood stove. The Camp will be equipped with a propane cooktop for meal or snack preparation as well as a BBQ for grilling your favourites .
Also comes with silence, the sounds of nature and a awesome view of the night sky.

sounds like a great place.
